Practical, Straightforward, Collaborative Counseling for
Adults, Adolescents, Couples & Families
Nearly everyone, at some point in their lives, experiences feelings of depression, anxiety, or simply feeling stuck.
Whether these feelings are the result of childhood experiences or current circumstances, meaningful change can come from counseling.
My approach is practical, straightforward, and collaborative, with the goal of expanding self-awareness and gaining insight into patterns that might be causing difficulty in your life and relationships. While emotional pain brings you into therapy, it is your strengths that are an integral part of the therapy process.
I received my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College, and have a bachelor of science degree in Psychology. I have worked in both clinical and private practice and enjoy working with clients from many different backgrounds. I currently provide counseling for adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are working through depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, childhood abuse, grief/bereavement, as well as relationship issues between couples and families.
I offer a free 30-minute consultation to allow us to get to know each other and make sure we are a good fit. After that, my fee is $65 per 50-minute session. I accept payment at time of service. While I don't work with insurance companies directly, I am happy to provide you with a receipt that you can use for reimbursement from your insurance company. I also offer a sliding scale based on need.

Wellness Counseling for Children, Teens & Adults
Being a parent can be tough, tiring, frustrating, and stressful. It can be hard to watch your child struggle, not listen, get in trouble at school, and have tough interactions day after day. You may have already tried medication, discipline, books, or other resources. If you're feeling this way, know that you are not alone, you are a good parent, and it's okay to seek help. I am here to provide that help and support during this difficult time.
Things can get better and return to times of enjoyment for yourself and your child. I provide a safe and comfortable place to start this process. I work with both parents and children to help create positive interactions and relationships. Providing alternative options for understanding and approaching these relationships. Focus is also given to teaching the skills needed to foster growth, increase communication, and build support.
This process can begin very soon, in most cases within the week. Session fees are $70 per 45/50 minute session and I am able to offer a sliding scale if fees are a hardship. Please do not let cost be a barrier to receiving support. I also provide a free brief consultation, to learn about your situation and ensure that I am the right fit for your counseling needs. Please contact me by phone, email, or through my personal website and I will be in touch, usually within 2 to 3 hours.
I earned my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Washington. Over the past 10 years I have enjoyed working with children and families in counseling centers, the community, group homes, chemical dependency centers, and sports settings. My private practice has allowed me to continue this work and help families grow closer.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you to begin your journey.
Counseling for Adults, Adolescents & Children
Anxiety, Stress, Life Transitions, Self-Esteem, and Relationship Struggles
Are you feeling lost after a break-up or helpless because the same negative patterns keep repeating in your relationships?
Confused about your education or career path?
When the pressures of life build up we are often left feeling stressed, frustrated, and even empty. My counseling style is down-to-earth yet solution-focused and aimed at helping you discover the clear insight you need when life becomes too overwhelming. I enjoy using art therapy with a focus on mindfulness, but more importantly I value working collaboratively with you in order to tailor services to your individual needs.
Parents, are you considering counseling for your preteen or teen but worried they won't respond to traditional talk therapy? Does your teen often say things like "I don't know" or "You wouldn't understand" when you try to ask them questions? Many teens are more comfortable opening up when they can communicate in their own language which often involves less talking and more doing. I specialize in understanding how teens communicate by offering a unique approach to counseling using art, music, writing, photo-journaling and other creative tools all within the context of professional and confidential therapy services.
I have a Master's degree in Psychology with emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy, Art Therapy, and School Counseling. I have over ten years of experience working with children and teens in school-based and outpatient settings. I have also worked with young adults and adults struggling with substance abuse and severe mental illness.
My fee is $80 per fifty minute session. I do not accept insurance directly but can provide you with a receipt for services that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I also offer a sliding scale based on need. I am happy to answer any questions you have and offer a free initial phone consultation. Please call me at 503-451-3238 ~ I look forward to talking with you!

Would you like to take a more empowered, active role in your healing process? I can help.
As a hypnotherapist with specialty training in medical support hypnotherapy, I am passionate about helping clients optimize their mind-body connection and discover their innate worth, and their inner wisdom and strength. In doing this work I have joyfully witnessed numerous examples of client success through making positive use of their subconscious and superconscious levels of awareness, bringing out the brightest and fullest expression of who they really are. The result is physical health, mental clarity, peace of mind and spiritual connection.
I draw on and integrate a mélange of modalities to offer a holistic approach to my sessions which can include qigong, mindfulness practices such as meditation, martial arts, and more. My work focuses on assisting you in getting in touch with, and living, the heart of who you really are.
Some common scenarios that I often see in my work include:
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful, profoundly relaxing complement to psychotherapy, and medical or dental care. It is not a replacement. Relative to psychotherapy, or "talk therapy," hypnotherapy is considered short term. On average, most goals are reached in just 4 to 6 sessions.
I earned my initial hypnotherapy certification from a state licensed school requiring 300 hours of hypnotherapy training in a classroom setting. I then completed an additional 100-hour training in Natal, Interlife and Past Life Therapy, and an additional 100-hour training in Medical Support Accelerated Healing and Pain Control, becoming a Certified Medical Support Clinical Hypnotherapist (CMS-CHt). I'm a Fellow of the International Board of Hypnotherapy (FIBH). I'm a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner. I am a licensed dental hygienist in the state of Oregon (RDH), and have a BS degree in Science and Technology and an MBA. And last but not least, I've studied martial arts for over two decades and taught martial arts classes for ten years as Sensei (teacher).
Fees: My fee is $140 per 90-minute session. Longer sessions add $20 per 15 minutes. I offer package discounts and a limited number of discounted sessions based on financial need. Payment is due prior to or at the onset of each session by card or cash. I do not bill insurance directly but can provide you with a receipt for services that you can submit to your insurance company.
Sessions: I offer in-person sessions at the Westlake office in Lake Oswego, and secure video sessions for people who prefer to have sessions from the comfort of their own home. Adult sessions are up to 90 minutes and are scheduled online via my website. Longer sessions are available.
