Professional Counseling for Children, Couples, Families and Individuals
Relationships are important; their healthiness dictates whether we can have enjoyable interactions and open communication.
As a family therapist I am here to provide a place to understand ourselves and those we care about in a comfortable environment. I have earned a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University and have years of counseling experience under my belt.
In my therapeutic approach I utilize family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and emotion focused therapy. Broken down, this means that when helping you and your family, I take into account the environment, history and interactions with one another. I see children, couples, families and individuals. When using emotion focused therapy with couples the objective is to gain a deeper understanding of your emotional responses to each other and create new interactions that redefine your relationship with openness and connection. My desire as a therapist is to work collaboratively with you to move towards a healthier and more satisfying life.
I have experience working with:
~ Couples Counseling
~ Family Counseling (conflict, blended families, divorce)
~ Pre-Marital Counseling from a Christian perspective
~ Foster care and adoption
~ Behavioral issues
~ Processing life transitions (new baby, empty nesters, etc.)
~ Developing healthy coping skills
~ Anxiety and depression
My fee is $60 per 50 minute session. Please contact me at Roxie.Sprick@gmail.com or call 503-756-5600 to schedule an appointment.

Professional, Affordable Counseling for Individual Adults
I believe that as an individual, you have the strength and the skills needed to create change in
your life. Through the development of a strong relationship, a foundation of trust is created in
which to explore areas of concern.
I use an "eclectic" approach (a variety of techniques) with
strong emphasis on child of origin issues. I offer both brief forms of therapy and longer term,
more in-depth exploration. You are an active participant in you own recovery process and
you alone decide the course of action you choose to take.
I provide a supportive environment, which includes compassion, active listening, and a sense of
humor. The direction of your therapy will be determined by your desire for change. You are the
expert on your own life and, as your therapist, it is my job is to guide you toward your own answers.
I use self-disclosure as appropriate, sharing my personal experience through therapy.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon, a Nationally Certified Counselor and I hold
a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
Since completing my graduate degree, I worked with youth and young adults in a day treatment setting and thereafter
served adult clients for a number of years in community mental health, including two years in inpatient
psychiatric treatment. Outpatient treatment included mainly anxiety and depression, as well as other
mental health issues. My work in the inpatient psychiatric setting focused primarily, but was not limited to, serving clients with depression,
anxiety, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. So if your symptoms (or those of a loved one) are quite severe, please do not hesitate to call me.
My standard fee is $40 per session, and I offer a sliding-fee scale for those in severe financial need. I
am not able to accept insurance at this time. Payment is due at each session by check or cash. I
offer a 30-minute no-cost consultation to determine suitability, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Gresham Counseling & Therapy, LLC
Every provider is different, so it is important to find one that matches your needs. I bring compassion, positivity, humor, friendliness, authenticity, and respect into every session. I strive to help you understand how your body, mind, and relationships affect how you feel, what you think, and how you behave, so you can mindfully make choices that align with your values. This is often referred to as a biopsychosocial or holistic mind-body approach. I also customize counseling to meet the unique needs of each client, so you can learn new skills and knowledge in ways that work best for you while taking steps toward your values and goals.
I primarily work with adolescents and adults who need help with anxiety, worry, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, depression, overwhelm, low self-worth, and healing from the stress of growing up in a "dysfunctional" family. In addition, I assist clients with the challenges of discovering their self-identities and values while building healthy relationships.
I'm also passionate about helping parents facing the challenges of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood and have been involved with supporting moms and dads in the postpartum mental health community since 2004.
My standard fee is $40 for a 50-minute session, and a sliding-scale fee is available. I am happy to talk with you via phone prior to scheduling the first session to help you determine if my services will benefit you.

I believe that change takes place within the framework of strong, healthy relationships. I strive to be a partner in healing, building a bond of trust and connection in which clients feel safe unpacking difficult emotions. I also use cognitive-behavioral tools to help clients problem behaviors and life patterns. I have a strong grounding in feminism and social justice advocacy, and provide a safe space for all human experience and identity.
I provide depth-oriented trauma therapy to children, adolescents and adults, using both relational interventions and a knowledge of the effects of trauma on the brain. I also have a focus on the difficult and painful issues that come with infertility and pregnancy loss. In addition to these specialties, I work with issues around relationships, family dynamics, children's and adolescents' behavioral issues, parenting tools, self esteem, body image, anxiety, depression, and many other areas of mental health.

Psychotherapy for Children, Adolescents, Adults & Families
The therapeutic relationship is often the catalyst for change in psychotherapy.
Building trust, comfort, and a sense of safety is essential for engaging in therapy in a
meaningful way. This is critical because therapy requires talking about aspects of
life that are difficult, unpleasant, or not going as well as one would like. Openly
discussing life's challenges in a safe environment often leads to a reduction in
distress, increased satisfaction in interpersonal relationships, increased awareness,
and tools for managing stress. This requires commitment and effort from both the
client and therapist.
My theoretical orientation is best described as eclectic and is influenced by the
following approaches: cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, behavioral, and family
systems. My approach depends on the goals and needs of the client.
with children, parental involvement is instrumental. I offer a variety of parenting
techniques. This may include supporting parents in implementing reward systems
that target increasing desirable behaviors and decreasing negative behaviors.
In addition to being a Clinical Psychologist, I am also a Certified School Psychologist.
I have over five years of experience working in schools at both primary and
secondary levels. I perform psychological evaluations to support teams in
establishing if students meet criteria for special education under categories such as
Specific Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Other Health Impaired
(often due to ADHD), and Intellectual Disability. I have a strong understanding of
public school systems and am able to collaborate with school personnel when
appropriate. Additionally, I am able to conduct psychological testing.
My fee for therapy is $80 per session and sessions are 50 minutes long. The initial
two sessions are spent gathering information, discussing your needs, and
establishing your treatment goals. Subsequent sessions are spent working towards
attaining those goals. Your feedback and questions are always encouraged
throughout our work together. My fee for psychological testing is $100/hour for
test administration and $60/hour for report writing. I do not currently accept
